Pokemon Snap is releasing on the Wii U Virtual Console in North America according to Nintendo’s website. In August of last year Pokemon Snap released on the Wii U eShop in Europe, but no word on a North American release date was given until now. You’ll be able to download Pokemon Snap tomorrow (1/05/2017) for $9.99. No word yet if this purchase earns customers My Nintendo points, but maybe the listing will change when the game becomes available tomorrow. Pokemon Snap is only 1 player, but on the Wii U supports a wide range of controllers, including the GamePad, Wii Remotes, Classic Controllers and the Wii U Pro Controller.

The N64 classic allows players to travel to Pokemon Island to meet Professor Oak and begin a safari where the player tries to take pictures of 63 different Pokemon. Published by Nintendo and developed by Hal Laboratory Inc, Pokemon Snap was one of a half-dozen Pokemon games to grace the 64-bit system. The art of capturing the different Pokemon is made even more fun when trying to catch different poses, using special techniques and finding the best possible specimen for a picture. Pokemon Snap is a unique game which we highly recommend if you haven’t played it before.
