Today on the official Super Meat Boy Twitter account a photo confirmed the release of a release on the Nintendo Switch. The photo depicts a Nintendo Switch in handheld mode with the front menu screen of Super Meat Boy. In the Twitter comments the official account confirms this is the original version, and not Super Meat Boy Forever. No release date has been given so far, but Switch owners should expect it sometime soon. No word yet on a physical / retail release. The Wii U received a version of Super Meat Boy on the eShop back in May 2016. The same team that worked on the Wii U version “BlitWorks” will also be developing the Switch version.
