The Nintendo Switch was featured in Time’s 25 Best Inventions of 2017 list. The hybrid console was added to the list as “A Gaming Console That Lets You Play Anywhere”. The ability to play console quality gameplay anywhere is what puts the Nintendo Switch on Time’s list. Time’s 25 Best Inventions list features a variety of products released throughout 2017. The only other gaming device to appear on the list was the Oculus Go, which according to Time is a “VR Headset That Stands Alone“.
Since the console’s release, the Switch has now passed over 7-million units sold, and continues to sell at high rates. Third party developers are becoming more aware of the console’s success with each passing week. Just this week ign.com reported that Nintendo held the #1 and #2 best selling consoles in the U.S. – with the Switch taking the top spot, and the Super NES Classic Edition taking the 2nd. With great publicity from Time, Nintendo is having a great year!
