I’m looking at a 2018 Cayman this weekend and the seller seems legit but I keep hearing horror stories about people buying these cars and discovering engine or suspension issues a month later. I’ve never bought a Porsche before and honestly I don’t know what to look for beyond a test drive, which probably won’t tell me much. A friend said I should look into prepurchasecarinspection.ae/brands/porsche since they specialize in these cars, but I’m wondering if it’s overkill for a car that’s only a few years old. Has anyone here used a proper inspection service before buying and did it actually catch something you would have missed? Also how much should I expect to pay and how long does it take? I’d rather spend a bit upfront than end up with a money pit, but I also don’t want to be paranoid about every used car.
