National StreetPass Holiday 2016 Announced

Yesterday Nintendo announced National StreetPass Holiday, which will focus on a variety  of recent Nintendo 3DS releases. This year’s National StreetPass Holiday Weekend will also include a special quest Mii of Mr. Miyamoto. The special Mr. Miyamoto Mii will be available at any Nintendo Zone location between 12/19/2016 through 1/15/2017. Five different games have DLC or extended content available if you stop by one of the many Nintendo Zone locations around the U.S. Here’s a list of eligible games being focused on during this years National StreetPass Holiday edition.

 

Animal Crossing: New Leaf – Welcome amiibo

The expanded version of Animal Crossing: New Leaf is also taking part in this years Holiday StreetPass event. A unique Barbeque bed will be available until 12/31/2016 along with two Japanese New Year’s decorations which will be available through January 2017. You can receive all these items at the Post Office, by accessing the StreetPass features in Animal Crossing: New Leaf – Welcome amiibo.

 

Disney Magical World 2

Also offering new content during the holiday StreetPass event is Disney Magical World 2. Free holiday hats and outfits will be available on 12/22 and on 1/5/2017 via QR Codes found on the Disney Magical World 2 official website. You even have a chance to spot StreetPass quests walking around in your town of Castleton.

 

Monster Hunter Generations

The lastest DLC for Monster Hunter Generations will allow you to exchange your personalized Guild Card, your favorite Palicoes, or Special Permits that allow you to take on challenging Deviant Monsters. You can also get ready for some Hyper Monster fighting this holiday season with another pack of Free DLC! The December batch features Felyne outfits based on Blanka and Chun-Li from the Street Fighter series as well as special gear designed by Tetsuya Nomura, from Square-Enix!.

 

Super Mario Maker for Nintendo 3DS

Super Mario Maker for Nintendo 3DS just released on December 2nd. During the StreetPass Holiday event you can use the StreetPass feature to share your favorite course with others—and get theirs in return. If you haven’t already check out our review for Super Mario Maker for Nintendo 3DS.

 

Yo-Kai Watch

During the StreetPass Holiday event you can collect StreetPass tags and connect with other players in the YO-KAI WATCH games for a chance to discover new Yo-kai when you stop by a Nintendo Zone location.
