Capcom : Resident Evil Village Wins Award for Excellence at the Japan Game Awards: 2022!– Street Fighter 6, Exoprimal, and Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection win awards in the Future Division –

Capcom Co., Ltd. (Capcom) today announced that Resident Evil Village was awarded an Award for Excellence in the Games of the Year Division of the Japan Game Awards: 2022 (held by the Computer Entertainment Supplier’s Association), while Street Fighter 6, Exoprimal, and Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection won awards in the Future Division. The prizes were announced at Tokyo Game Show 2022, which was held from September 15-18.

Winner of an Award for Excellence, Resident Evil Village is the latest title in the Resident Evil series, which has been running since 1996. The game features dramatic storytelling that allows players to experience different kinds of fear and even more expansive, highly engaging gameplay. Utilizing the company’s proprietary RE ENGINE, the game provided stunning, photorealistic visuals and cutting-edge 3D audio, which drew players into a deeply immersive gameplay experience and garnered global acclaim for the title, leading it to sell over 6.5 million units worldwide. Capcom looks to further expand sales channels and enhance brand value with the October release of Resident Evil Village Gold Edition, which adds both a new story as well as a highly anticipated Third-Person Mode.

Street Fighter 6, Exoprimal, and Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection won awards in the Future Division, where players vote to select the upcoming titles they most look forward to. Playable demo versions of these titles were very popular among show attendees.
