Scheduled to release sometime in 2015, Mario Maker is another game that strives to make good use of the Wii U’s GamePad. Using the Gamepad’s touch functionality, players will place different elements on the screen to create their levels. Different items include Piranha plants, Goombas, blocks, pipes and more. Players can also switch between an 8-bit look and the “New” Mario look featured in New Super Mario Bros. From the examples shown at E3 it looks as if Mario Maker will have everything needed to create full scale Super Mario levels.
