Today Nintendo announced that a Nindies Showcase Presentation will take place in video form on February 28th, 2017. The video presentation will start at 9:00 A.M. PT, and will focus on three top tier games hitting the Nintendo Switch eShop on March 3rd. FAST RMX from Shin’en Multimedia will provide the Switch eShop with a F-Zero inspired clone. Yacht Club games will be bringing Shovel Knight Specter of Torment as a limited-time exclusive for the system. The third title is also by Yacht Club games and also stars everyone’s favorite shovel wielding knight. Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove will be the third indie game available on the Nintendo Switch eShop on day 1. Nintendo has made many efforts over the years to cater to top-tier indie studios. Just last summer Nintendo held the Nindies Summer Jam 2016 which focused on a variety of Wii U & 3DS indie games. Nintendo also announced that no Virtual Console games will be available on the Nintendo Switch’s launch day.
