One of the most exciting announcements of E3 2017 was just given by Nintendo, who just revealed Metroid: Samus Returns for the Nintendo 3DS. The game will be a remake of the original 1991 Game Boy game – Metroid II: Return of Samus. Along with the E3 announcement came the news of two new amiibo figurines – Samus Aran and Metroid. Nintendo is making this remake something special. The game is being developed from the ground-up to utilize 3D visuals along with a new 360-degree Free Aim Mode. A special edition Metroid: Samus Returns will also be available, which will include a music CD with 25 tracks from the Metroid series. Metroid: Samus Returns has a scheduled release date set for September 15th, 2017 on the Nintendo 3DS.
