Alfa Romeo Giulia showing check engine light and reduced power, nervous about what this means
My Giulia has been an absolute joy to drive for the past two years but today it threw a check engine light along with a message about reduced engine performance and now it feels like the turbo isn’t boosting properly, very sluggish acceleration. I pulled over and restarted the engine and the message went away but the check engine light stayed on, though the car drove normally again after the restart. This is my first Italian car and I’ll admit I’m a bit anxious about the horror stories people always share about reliability, even though my experience so far has been trouble free. I need someone who can properly fix Alfa Romeo engine issues Dubai without the trial and error approach that some general garages take with these cars. The Giulia has a pretty sophisticated engine management system and I’ve heard the multi air system on the 2.0 engine can have issues with the actuator or the turbo wastegate that a generic OBD scanner won’t properly diagnose. Also does anyone know if these faults are typically covered under extended warranty or is this going to be an out of pocket expense?
