We’re a small automotive workshop in Al Quoz and we go through a massive amount of engine oil, transmission fluid, and other lubricants every month. Up until now we’ve been buying in 20L jerry cans but the amount of plastic waste we’re generating is honestly starting to bother me, plus the storage situation is getting ridiculous because we have these stacks of cans everywhere and they take up so much floor space. I’ve been thinking about switching to bulk containers instead and a few of my suppliers mentioned that they can deliver in 1000L totes which would be way more efficient for us. The thing is I’m not really sure what to look for in terms of quality and durability, especially with the heat here making plastic brittle over time. I came across the Premium IBC Tank manufacturer in UAE and their containers look pretty solid but I wanted to get some feedback from people who actually use these things daily before I commit to making the switch. Do they hold up well with repeated use and refilling? Are the valves reliable or do they start leaking after a while? And how do you handle moving them around the workshop without a forklift? I’m keen to reduce our packaging waste but I don’t want to create new headaches in the process.
