Yesterday was genuinely one of those days where everything goes wrong. My old Pajero started overheating badly right around the Hessa/Emirates Road junction, smoke coming from under the hood, and I had to pull onto the shoulder with cars flying past at 100kmh. Honestly felt pretty vulnerable sitting there with my hazards on. I called my insurance first and they said recovery was included but the wait would be 90 minutes minimum. Then I remembered seeing something about private recovery services that are usually faster because they have more trucks on the road. After a bit of panicked scrolling on my phone I found Premium Car Recovery Services for 800Sayara Dubai and the guy on the phone was actually calm and helpful, told me exactly where to stand safely and said a flatbed would be there in 25 minutes. He arrived in 22 actually, which felt like a miracle given the traffic. Got my car to a garage in Al Quoz and he even waited until someone came out to look at it. I guess my question for you all is whether it’s worth paying extra for a premium service like that upfront or just relying on insurance recovery and hoping for the best? The peace of mind yesterday was pretty valuable honestly but I’m not made of money either.
