Nintendo receives the Excellence Award at the 23rd annual AMD Awards Ceremony in Japan.
During the 23rd annual AMD Awards Ceremony Nintendo received the Excellence Award. Nintendo received the award due to the success and impact of the Nintendo Switch. Nintendo employees Yoshiaki Koizumi, Ko Shiota and Shinya Takahashi received the award on the company’s behalf. You can watch a video of the AMD Awards Ceremony below. We also included a list of different highlights seen in the video below. According to the website Japanese Nintendo Koizumi said he “wouldn’t have expected Nintendo to win one year ago”. Also reported by Japanese Nintendo, Takahashi spoke about continuing to make great things in the future (here’s hoping).
優秀なデジタルコンテンツ等の制作者を表彰する『デジタル・コンテンツ・オブ・ジ・イヤー‘17／第23回AMDアワード』において、年間コンテンツ賞「優秀賞」の授賞作品 10 作品(コンテンツ及びサービス)、「審査員特別賞」、「功労賞」、「江並直美賞（新人賞）」、「リージョナル賞」の授賞者及び授賞作品が決定しました。 なお、3月12日に発表される「大賞/総務大臣賞」及び「AMD 理事長賞」は、「優秀賞」の10作品の中から選考されます。
