While Nintendo has plans to release the NES Mini on November 11th, a fan and YouTuber lyberty5 designed a Super Nintendo Mini before the Japanese giant could. Hand crafted from clay and a Raspberry Pi Zero customized to emulate the classic 16 bit console. The video showcases three different games, Yoshi’s Island, Doom and Kirby Super Star. The video shows every step of the SNES mini’s design process, from the making of the console’s case, to adding the computer board and internal wiring. The entire process looks complicated and time consuming, and the designer’s video info says “Put my heart and soul into this :)”. What do you think of one of the world’s smallest Super Nintendo consoles?
