Nintendo announced the Pokemon Go Plus accessory release date on twitter recently. The Pokeball themed Bluetooth accessory lets you enjoy Pokemon Go while your not looking at your phone. The accessory releases at retailers next week on 9/16/2016.
Pokemon Go Plus alerts you of in-game events, like nearby Pokemon and other things that would require looking at your smart phone. The device uses LED and vibrations to alert the player to interesting things. For instance, if there is a nearby Pokemon the Plus accessory will LED light will flash. The device will also vibrate and flash when your near a Pokestop. You can use the Pokemon Go Plus accessory to search Pokestops for items and other things.
