The Pokemon GO Water Festival is now in progress, which started at 1 P.M. PDT. During this special limited-time celebration you’ll have a much higher chance of encountering water Pokemon like Magikarp, Squirtle, Totodile along with their repective Eveolutions. The Pokemon GO team gave a special hint/tip about catching Lapras during the festival, by recommending that you may encounter Lapras around areas where water Pokemon are frequently found. Also, by staying close to areas of water (like ponds & lakes) you’ll also have a better chance of encountering Pokemon originally discovered in the Johto region. The Pokemon GO Water Festival is going on around the world, and will last until March 29th, 2017.
