Today it was announced that the PS4 and Xbox One versions of PlataGO! Super Platform Game Maker is cancelled. The Mario Maker-like game is still in development for the Nintendo Switch and PC, which are scheduled to release in 2019. The publisher and developer haven’t mentioned why the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions we’re cancelled. With all the success that many indie titles are experiencing on the Switch it makes sense that the developer decided to cancel the PS4/XB1 versions and focus entirely on the Switch and PC versions. This makes PlataGO! a Nintendo Switch exclusives when it comes to the console versions of the game. See a trailer for the game below.
PlataGO! will allow users to create their own platforming games using graphic styles ranging from NES (8-bit), SNES (16-bit) and Commodore 64 and more. This title looks similar to Super Mario Maker on the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS.
