The Pokemon Company Will Make Games For Nintendo NX

featured article

During an interview with The Wall Street Journal, The Pokémon Company CEO Tsunekazu Ishihara confirmed the development of games for the upcoming Nintendo NX. While not revealing much Tsunekazu added more evidence to the Nintendo NX being a console/handheld hybrid by saying, “The NX is trying to change the concept of what it means to be a home console device or a handheld device. We will make games for the NX”. The popularity of mobile apps like Pokemon Go and the soon to release Super Mario Run could reveal some of Nintendo’s plans for the NX. The Pokemon Company is a veteran at making addictive games that are fun on the go. Having one of their strongest partners prepare games for the NX’s first 6 months would make sense from a strategic standpoint. The console / handheld hybrid rumor continues to be the most promising so far.

Other websites1 have been pointing to a report back in August that claims that the Nintendo NX will receive a new Mario game and a Pokémon game within the first 6 months of the console’s release. This report isn’t anything new, as several statements earlier this year already stated Nintendo’s refocused 1st party development schedule.

So what are your thoughts, do you want Pokémon on the NX within the first 6 months?
