Capcom announced the official release date for Resident Evil 0 for the Nintendo Switch. The game will release on May 19th, 2019 in North America. Resident Evil 0 originally released on the Nintendo Gamecube as a console exclusive. Since then the game has seen additional releases on other consoles. The game focuses on events that take place before the 1st Resident Evil game and introduce character Rebecca Chambers to the series. Resident Evil 0 was the first game in the series to allow players to switch from one of the main characters to a 2nd main character mid-game. Using this feature gave Resident Evil 0 additional puzzle mechanics that hadn’t been featured in the series before. The Nintendo Switch version features enhanced HD graphics along with all the horrific fun found in the original Gamecube version.
In 1998, the American town of Raccoon City has been host to a series of strange and grisly murders. Rebecca Chambers, a new member of the elite special forces team known as S.T.A.R.S., has been dispatched along with the other Bravo Team members to investigate.
