Zelda Breath of the Wild Rated for Sexual & Violent Content in Japan

Zelda Breath of the Wild Rated

As reported by Nintendo Today, the box art for the Japanese version of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has been rated for sexual content & violent content in Japan. CERO (Computer Entertainment Ratings Organization) posts ratings for content on the box art for games in Japan. The rating posted on Breath of the Wild’s box art does provide some provocative conversation for Zelda fans. The series has never really had anything in the story that was sexually related. So if the CERO rating in Japan says anything we might be in for a different approach to the content / story in the next Zelda. The sexual content rating in Zelda Breath of the Wild could be explained by looking at some of the preview trailers provided by Nintendo. One scene in particular shows Zelda standing in some water wearing a white dress. Along with the Zelda in the water scene there’s also a scene wear Zelda is crying to Link, showing the possibility that the two will have a more mature relationship. We’ll have to wait for the ESRB rating to get further details on The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild’s possible sexual content.
