A Japanese patent may be pointing to a Super Nintendo Classic Edition. First reported by Nintendo Everything, a patent by Nintendo in Japan was spotted and may suggest that Nintendo is already preparing a Super Nintendo Classic Edition. The patent was originally filed on 12/5/2016. A Twitter account – @trademark_bot first spotted the Japanese patent, and was later referenced by Nintendo Everything. After translation, the patent states the following.
Applicant: Nintendo Nintendo Co., Ltd. / filing date: 12/5/2016 / :9(home video game machine for program etc), 28 (home consoles other).
