Today Nintendo announced NES Classic Edition Developer Interview series. These new developer interviews focus on the lead designers behind some of the games included with the NES Classic Edition. The first two interviews rolled out today, featuring Mr. Miyamoto and Mr. Sakamoto. The developer interview with Mr. Miyamoto focuses on Donkey Kong for the NES, while the Mr. Sakamoto interview focuses on Balloon Fight for the NES. Both games come pre-installed on the NES Classic Edition.
Nintendo is planning on the NES Classic Edition developer interviews to be an on-going dialogue with some of the greatest names in gaming. These two interviews are just the first ones to get published, Nintendo is planning on publishing more in celebration of the launch of the NES Classic Edition on November 11th, 2016. The next developer interviews will focus on the names behind Super Mario Bros, Super Mario Bros 3 and The Legend of Zelda (all of which have Mr. Miyamoto as the lead designer).
