Today Bandai Namco announced Taiko Drum Master for the Nintendo Switch in Japan. Along with the game’s announcement the Japanese publisher also released a new trailer showcasing some of the game’s features. Players will use the Switch’s Joy-Con controllers like drumsticks, similar to how the Wii’s version (Taiko no Tatsujin ) worked. Taiko Drum Master will also support HD Rumble- hopefully giving the game some extra realism. The Switch’s version will also feature Super Mario Odyssey and Splatoon themed content. The game is scheduled to release in Japan sometime this summer. You can watch the official Japanese trailer down below.
No word on the game getting released in North America or Europe. We’ll have to wait and see what Bandai Namco says in the next few months. What do you think? Would you like to see Taiko Drum Master on the Switch? Let us know using the comments below.
