Club Nintendo members who earned platinum (Elite) or gold status can expect their 2013 status gift soon. Some Club Nintendo members have stated that they’ve received a confirmation email from Nintendo claiming that their gold and platinum gifts have been shipped. Nintendo said that the gifts would be shipped out before the end of 2013.
Club Nintendo is a free membership offered by Nintendo. Members can register eligible videogames on the DS, Wii, 3DS and Wii U for Club Nintendo coins. These coins can then be redeemed for exclusive prizes, similar to the way people could redeem Kool-Aid points for prizes.
