Nintendo is releasing a Nintendo Switch Super Bowl ad, which can be viewed below. This is the first time Nintendo’s ever released a Super Bowl ad. The ad shows a variety of game’s previously shown in the Switch reveal trailers. The ad moves quick between different gameplay scenarios, and has some inspiring moments when the ad shifts focus to Zelda Breath of the Wild. Heavy emphasis is also placed on going back and fourth between the TV and handheld mode. The ad will fill a 30 second spot, which will run during the fourth quarter sometime. A 90 second version is also available on the Nintendo YouTube channel.
The ad will feature a new song by Imagine Dragons, called “Believer”, which is available on iTunes, Apple Music, Google Play, Amazon mp3 and Spotify. Back in 2014 Imagine Dragons and Nintendo partnered on a medley of music for The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask alongside Nintendo music composer Koji Kondo. The Nintendo Switch Super Bowl ad gains plenty of energy from Imagine Dragons. Hopefully the ad’s presentation / message gains plenty of views during the Feb 5th football game.
