Developer WayForward announced today via their KickStarter page that Shantae 1/2 Genie Hero now has a 1.01 update available. The update is suppose to satisfy gamers until the Risky Boots & other planned DLC is ready. The first update for the well designed platformer brings a new Hard Core Mode. The new harder mode can be accessed via the games main menu. According to WayForward the new Hard Core Mode brings all the toughness fans of the franchise expect. - Harder hitting enemies
- Faster scroll speeds
- Remixed enemy locations (and more enemies)
- New Boss patterns
- Healing items capped at six
- Re-balanced magic items
